Admission Procedures

Follow the steps below to complete the admissions process and make your dream a reality.

Step 1 –

• Set up your personal interview and campus tour
• Download a copy of our student handbook and catalog
• Complete the enrollment application
• Pay the $100 application fee
• Provide a copy of your drivers license/photo ID
• Provide a copy of your birth certificate
• Provide a copy of high school diploma/transcripts/G.E.D.
• Ballwin, Missouri campus requires a $5.00 State Board application fee and 2 personal photos

Step 2 –

• Make a business office appointment within 2 weeks after tour
  • Bring financial aid paperwork
  • www.fafsa.gov, school code: 026031
  • 2016 tax returns and W2’s
  • 2016-2017 FAFSA (SAR report) ©
• Complete an entrance counseling session online
  • Go to www.studentloans.gov
  • Select “Sign In” (you will use the same pin # as you used for FAFSA)
  • Click on “Complete Entrance Counseling” and follow the steps until it is submitted successfully
• Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN)
  • Go to www.studentloans.gov
  • Select “Sign In” (you will use the same pin # as you used for FAFSA)
  • Click on “Complete Master Promissory Note” and follow the steps
• Entrance exam – Wichita, KS exams are every Saturday at 10 am. Ballwin, MO are by appointment.  Bring a calculator and pencil/pen
• Optional: pay the kit tax for your program.

Step 3 –

• If attending the Ballwin, MO campus, bring in your high school diploma.  If you are attending the Wichita, KS campus, have high school fax transcript to Kansas State Board of Cosmetology at 785.296.3002 or mail a certified copy::Kansas State Board of Cosmetology

• Finalization appointment with business office – Wichita, KS  316-943-5516 or Ballwin, MO 636-394-7335
• Attend orientation (2 weeks before class starts)
• Complete Apprentice License
• All paperwork must be received by your orientation meeting
• Transfer students, students not taking the full program and kit see the hourly charge, registration fee, and state baord fees that will be due. Transfer hours are subject to approval by the campus director.  We cannot guarantee approval for hours from another institution.
